Yes, it’s true, many do but also should as much as possible not make Nazi comparisons.
The following gives compelling evidence of a recent Trump effort to stay connected to this loyalists with at least one poor choice.
The story was picked up by some very keen-eyed person who was tracking Trump’s money-raising activities.
The story has now
been reported on from
Business Insider and others with this headline:
“Trump wants his supporters to carry a plastic card that
critics say looks remarkably similar to Nazi insignia logo”
· Former President Donald Trump wants his most loyal
supporters to carry plastic “Trump Cards.”
· One of the four designs features a right-facing
gold eagle.
· The Nazi-era Reichsadler faces
right. The eagle on the Great Seal of America, however, looks to the
viewer's left.
Trump's PAC sent two emails on Wednesday (August 4) asking supports to choose between four red-and-gold cards.
One of the designs, which features a gold eagle, “is reminiscent of the Nazi Parteiadler, or party eagle” UK Times.
The Trump card features a bald eagle, the national bird of the United States, looking to the viewer's right.
However, the Great Seal of America features an eagle to the viewer's left, whereas the Nazi-era Reichsadler, or Imperial Eagle, is represented by an eagle looking to the viewer's right.
Other reports - same story from Bloomberg, Newsweek, and People.
(Note #3 Above: Official misspelled = “Offical”).
My 2 Cents: Seems Trump wants to show his “patriotism” with the Eagle, but facing the same way as the Nazi eagle, too. Why is that?
A simple gaffe, error, mistake, or gosh, heaven forbid done on purpose?
As I said no one likes to make Nazi comparisons, but this is pretty gross on the surface I think and thanks to a keen eye has been reported on.
I can only image how angry Trump must be calling it “fake news” and such – but he did sign his proposed cards (as noted above), so he has no argument in my opinion, but I leave that to the readers.
Thanks for stopping by.
