McConnell Pushing the Vaccine: Oops "You Are a Day Late and a Dollar Short"

“McConnell urges Americans: ‘Get vaccinated’ or risk another shutdown”

WASHINGTON — McConnell is now imploring  unvaccinated Americans to get the CoVID-19 shot, issuing a stark and grave warning of a repeat of last year’s rising caseloads and shutdowns if people refuse to protect themselves from the coronavirus.

McConnell urged Americans to ignore the “demonstrably bad advice coming from pundits and others against the vaccines.” 

As cases skyrocket, he noted that nearly all the new virus hospitalizations in the U.S. are among people who have not been vaccinated.

McConnell at his weekly press conference at the Capitol said: “If there is anybody out there willing to listen: Get vaccinated. These shots need to get in everybody’s arms as rapidly as possible or we’re going to be back in a situation in the fall that we don’t yearn for — that we went through last year. This is not complicated.”

McConnell is a survivor of childhood polio, and he often draws on that experience to speak publicly of the relief he got that eventually came with the development of vaccines. 

He further said: “It never occurred to me that after the CoVID-19 vaccines that were quickly developed for use in the U.S. that we’d have difficulty getting Americans to get the shot.”

McConnell also has been one of the most outspoken members of his party to urge vaccinations and stop the virus spread, speaking often in his home state about the need for people to get the shot.

My 2 Cents: McConnell is a coward & hypocrite. 

Why won’t he say: “Why are 99.8% of anti-vaxxers in GOP areas and the most infected.” 

Obvious — that would be the truth and it would taint the GOP label heading into 2022 midterms, which old Mitch ain't known to do that very often since he seeks getting back the majority leadership podium.

Sadly, he also lets Republican members of congress who refuse the vaccine or who mock the severity of the virus like Taylor Greene and Boebert, and a few others skate freely. 

That is what I mean by cowardly.
