Trump false BS legal election challenges continue. But know
this, merely saying that something is illegal or unlawful without proof, which is
conclusive, by saying it’s evidence isn't legal or would not hold up in
court since evidence is more of a suggestion. Far worse are conspiracies
and hype built on misinformation or even worse, disinformation.
Good
example here from The Hill re: Philly Election Commissioner, Al Schmidt,
who BTW is an elected Republican who also once served in the GAO, and now
serving in his current post since 2011. Trump called him a RINO who refuses to
look at a mountain of corruption & dishonesty (via Tweet).
Schmidt makes a perfect statement: “If
evidence of widespread fraud or evidence of any fraud at all, is brought to our
attention, we take a look at it and we refer it to law enforcement as we always
do in every election. I have seen the most fantastical things on
social media, making completely ridiculous allegations that have no basis in
fact at all. I realize a lot of people are happy about this election
and a lot of people are not happy about this election. One thing I can't comprehend is how hungry
people are to consume lies and to consume information that is not true.
People should be mindful that there are
bad actors who are lying to them. They need to turn to people that they trust and to sources of
information that they trust, and not rumors and not nonsense included in lawsuits
or anything else like that.”

From
NBC News: Trump and others still rant about election “fraud” and always without
proof – examples follow:
There has been at least one incident elsewhere in PA where a
registered Republican in Luzerne County attempted to apply for an absentee ballot for his dead mother,
but didn’t get past the application phase.
In NV, the Trump campaign complained about voters who “improperly
cast their votes by not living in the state.”
The military reports that a large chunk of those voters are military
voters, who are legally entitled to vote absentee in their home of record while serving overseas.
Noteworthy:
Ahead of the 2016 election Trump like now claimed the Philly and PA vote was rigged
against him. He wound up winning the state then by almost 45,000 votes.

From Michigan (Reuters
news): “Trump sues to stop certification”
The Trump camp complaint said: “… election results should not be certified without confirming that all
ballots were counted properly, and that a special election might be needed in
problematic precincts.”
Jake Rollow, spokesman for the Michigan Department of State,
in a statement said the Trump campaign was promoting false claims to erode
public confidence in Michigan's elections, adding: “It does not change the truth: Michigan's elections were conducted
fairly, securely, transparently, and the results are an accurate reflection of
the will of the people.”
Trump has refused to concede to Biden, and has claimed
without evidence that widespread fraud cost him a victory in MI he trails Biden
by more than 148,000 votes (2.6% points according to unofficial vote totals
which are almost completed).
My 2 cents: When will this nightmare end? Hopefully when states finish their vote count end. Then certification confirms Biden win.
But, Trump will continue on this sorry path until January 20, 2021 possibly. Believe it.
