President Biden Impeachment: GOP Has No Case — Simply Bowing to Trump

Five looking to impeach President Joe Biden
(Hunches & theories: No proof or evidence)

NOTE: I inserted this Washington Examiner article after the fact because it shows the utter craziness of trying to impeach Mr. Biden w/o any evidence and in doing so Constitutional scholar Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) says: “It’s a sham” – which it is 100%.

Read this linked article first since it’s longer than the two linked below.

Sorry for the last minute insert, but it does show more details of the GOP impeachment absurdity.

The original two articles are from ABC News here and here with the original story headline:

“House GOP to move forward on formalizing Biden impeachment inquiry next week

The GOP House Rules Committee, run by Rep. James Comer (R-KY) has announced it will consider a resolution next week to formalize Republican impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

Also, Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) said earlier this week that he believes that Republicans would get the votes they need to formalize their inquiry since they have alleged, without proof, that Biden was directly involved in and benefited from his family's business dealings.

The White House has called the inquiry “extreme politics at its worst.” Lawmakers have held one public hearing which offered several contentious moments but no new evidence, and legal experts said there wasn't enough evidence to warrant any articles against Biden.

Comer issued subpoenas for President Biden's son Hunter and his brother James, as well as subpoenas to individuals with connections to Hunter Biden.

The subpoenas instruct Hunter Biden to appear for a closed-door deposition on December 13 and James Biden to appear on December 6.

Hunter Biden responded that he was willing to testify before but in a public setting. Comer and others are insisting on a closed-door interview first.

The White House slammed the subpoenas as “irresponsible and unjustified.”

Fact-checking Comer's latest claims: Comer announced the latest revelation from his probe into the Biden family bank records showing that Joe Biden accepted monthly payments from his son Hunter's company, Owasco PC.

Despite Comer's tightly choreographed rollout – complete with a video monologue in which he describes the finding as further evidence of “blatant corruption by the Biden family” – the committee released few details.

The panel tweeted out one bank record from September 2018, when Biden was out of office, showing a payment from Owasco PC to Joe Biden for $1,380 – but it did not suggest how many monthly payments were made, what they were for, and how much money changed hands.

Hunter Biden’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, responded:The truth is Hunter's father helped him when he was struggling financially due to his addiction and could not secure credit to finance a truck. When Hunter was able to, he paid his father back and took over the payments himself.”

A person familiar with the arrangement said Hunter Biden sent around $4,000 to his father in three installments to repay him for car payments on a Ford Raptor truck.

That same person added that Hunter Biden's credit was low at the time, as a result of his drug addiction, so his father helped him finance the vehicle.

Attorney Lowell added: There Chairman Comer goes again reheating what is old as new to try to revive his sham of an investigation.”

Side note: How about this so-called GOP committee star witness against the Bidens that Comer bragged about. His name is Gal Luft.

Brief on him follows: Republicans' probe into Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden's son, may have been dealt a major blow after federal charges were filed against a man accusing the Biden family of corruption.

An eight-count indictment against Gal Luft was unsealed on July 10 as the Department of Justice announced he had been charged with acting as an unregistered foreign agent on behalf of China, violating U.S. sanctions against Iran, trafficking in arms, and making false statements to federal agents among other matters.

So where is Luft today? Funny you should wonder. How about this?

Comer discussed the person he described as a key informant (Luft) during his interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News in May, saying in part:Well, unfortunately, we can't track down the informant. We are hopeful that the informant is still there. The whistleblower knows the informant. The whistleblower is very credible. We're hopeful that we can find the informant. Remember, these informants are kind of in the spy business, so they don't make a habit of being seen a lot or being high-profile or anything like that.”

Following Comer's interview on Fox News, Luft gave an interview to The New York Post where he came forward as the missing informant.

He was arrested in Cyprus in February in a separate case and is currently a fugitive having fled after being released on bail

Oops...

My 2 Cents: In short, this House committee under Comer is making a total and complete ass of itself and him for one simple reason:

To seek revenge for Trump’s idea that if Biden is impeached they would be even and no further argument that Trump is worse – a simple case of revenge and not much else.

Just as the classic and simple phrase says: “There ain’t no there, there” well it still applies today more so than ever.

Shame on Rep. Comer and his totally lost in space GOP committee.

Thanks for stopping by.
