Trump Still Praises Putin: Question is Why or What Does Putin Have on Trump

Trump & Putin BFF’s seeking a two-man ruled world

Question for MAGA supporters for Trump and his woes and such based on this headline story from POLITICO:

“I like that he said that” – Trump revels in praise from Putin

My initial reaction: What in the world does Putin hold over Trump to keep him in line praising him – a murdering war criminal?

Trump’s plan to end Russia’s war in Ukraine has a telling supporter: Russian President Vladimir Putin. And Trump is welcoming the praise.

Kristen Welker (who replaced Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press”) asked Trump during his first major network interview aired on Sunday, September 17 this question:President Putin said, quote: We surely hear that Mr. Trump says he will resolve all burning issues within several days, including the Ukrainian crisis. We cannot help but feel happy about it. What do you make of that? Do you welcome this support?”

Trump responded:Well, I like that he said that. Because that means what I'm saying is right.

Trump, the current 2024 GOP front runner said he would end the war in Ukraine in one day — a promise that has sparked concern from Ukrainian leaders, who fear that Trump’s simplistic plan would involve the U.S. attempting to cede Ukrainian land to Russia.

Putin’s unprovoked invasion into Ukraine has been widely condemned and fought against by the U.S. and Western allies.

During the interview, Trump touted what he described as a positive relationship with Putin, while claiming that There was nobody tougher than me on Russia.”

Trump further said:I got along with Putin. Let me tell you, I got along with him really well. And that's a good thing, not a bad thing. He's got 1,700 nuclear missiles. And so do we. But, look, that's a good thing. Getting along is OK. But I got along through strength.”

Recall that Trump drew criticism for sometimes siding with Putin during his presidency.

Recall for example, at their summit in Helsinki in 2018, Trump told the press that he believed Putin over U.S. intelligence agencies when he said Russia had not meddled in American elections saying: President Putin says it's not Russia. I don't see any reason why it would be.”

My 2 Cents: First and foremost there is nothing that can be believed flowing from Trump’s mouth – nothing except that he wants to be America’s first dictator and make sure his family stays in control in some sort of Trump dynasty.

Second, I am ashamed of NBC and all the major networks that keep a focus on Trump, which only benefits him and his rants that in turn helps keep him in tune with his harsh MAGA base.

He keeps selling his string of lies and such to that base that benefits him in his upcoming trials in which he hopes to get at least one or two MAGA supporters on the DC, NY, or even FL jury to vote for his acquittal and thus giving him freedom and a dismissal from the full jury. I don’t believe that will happen, but it’s what Trump is striving for.

Thus major network coverage helps him plant the seeds of distrust in the legal system and that is his #1 strategy as he stays in the limelight anyway possible. The networks don’t give that kind of PR to serial killers, so why give the limelight to Trump: A serial liar and criminal?

Simply taint a jury for his acquittal is his goal and it sure seems the networks (at least some of them) are enabling him. That’s the way I see this all unfolding with his last ditch defense of tainting the jury pool. Now NBC with that “Meet the Press” interview proves my point with their airing on September 17. I say: Shame on NBC.

FYI: You can watch that full interview here, if you dare, but I recommend having a barf bag handy.

Thanks for stopping by.
