National Debt: DEMS Pay the Bills Then Talk Budget — GOP Totally Opposite

McCarthy for MAGA & Self; Biden for Country & Nation’s Honor

It is not merely a one-sided DEM or GOP tax and spend issue. That can be left up the budget haggling in the congressional committees.

Paying our bills now is a national issue. It must not become a national disgrace.

The impact:

Ø Government won’t be able to pay federal employees.

Ø Government won’t be able to fund veteran benefits.

Ø Government won’t be able to fund Social Security (for 66 million Americans), or recipients could temporarily see their checks arrive but after a delay.

Ø The global economy would be greatly impacted which now relies on a stable and trustworthy United States.

Ø Interest rates would increase and investment in U.S. Treasury securities would stop, thus impacting car loans, credit cards, etc.

The issue is as clear as a bell and simple to comprehend if the raw politics are set aside: (1) First pay the nation’s bills; and then (2) Talk budget and taxes and spending plan (politics).

President Biden clearly is right: Pay our bills before the deadline and face default that has never happened in our nation’s history and most-importantly to avoid a national and international disgrace and great harm to millions and millions of citizens. Then get to work of serious budget issues after paying our bills.

For President Biden: Pay our bills now; budget later; country first.

Speaker McCarthy is clearly wrong: He has two concerns and worries: (1) To please and appease the raw MAGA types in the House who gave him the speakership after 15 historic votes; or (2) face being expelled as GOP Speaker if he does not appease the MAGA morons.

For Speaker McCarthy: Me & budget now; country later.

My 2 Cents: I don’t see how any rational logical person cannot see the simple issue: Pay our bills due now and then work on a new budget.

The stubborn childish bickering and hard-nosed GOP stance about paying our bills now before a national disgrace in the eyes of the world and injuring millions of Americans in dire need along the way in the end is plainly nuts.

I hate to invoke “the blame game,” but once again the GOP now is clearly the blame more than anyone and they are experienced and skilled at that tactic.

Thanks for stopping by.
