Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is a power-hungry, attention-seeking harebrained
nitwit who strikes again as seen in this this article (formatted for the blog) from NEWSWEEK with this headline:
“Jim Jordan's Response to Trump's 'Death
& Destruction' Post”
Jordan as we all know is a staunch supporter of Trump.
Example: He gave no comment about a post that Trump made on his TRUTH Social page (seen above) warning about potential death & destruction if he's indicted as part of the hush money payment investigation involving adult film star Stormy Daniels now pending in NY.
Above is Trump’s post and my note – hopefully others will agree with my assertion.
NBC News reporter
Sahil Kapur asked Jordan about what he thinks of Trump's post.
* Jordan said that he
hasn't seen it.
Kapur then showed him the
post on his phone.
* Jordan said he can't
read well without his glasses.
As we all know by now, Trump is being investigated by
Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's office for $130,000 that Trump paid to Stormy Daniels
carried out by Trump’s former attorney and so-called “fixer” Michael Cohen ahead
of the 2016 presidential election to keep their sexual affair secret during the
2016 presidential election.
Over the course of the investigation, Trump has repeatedly
asserted his innocence, has denied the affair between him and Daniels, and
called on his supporters to protest against the possible indictment. He even predicted
recently that he would be arrested taken into custody –but that did not happen,
but he has raised over $1.5 million nevertheless.
Now Trump, right on schedule, has again slammed DA Bragg amid strong indications that a potential historic arrest is forthcoming.
Now further, and in light of DA Bragg's office targeting Trump,
Jordan and other House GOP committee leaders have launched their own probe into Bragg and his investigation for
what they say is: “An unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority.”
Meanwhile, GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) ordered
the House investigation into Bragg's office.
NOTE: My earlier post related to all that above is here with updates.
In response to that, Bragg's office wrote a letter to Jordan and McCarthy,
pointing out that the House GOP was seeking “non-public information about a
pending criminal investigation, which is confidential under state law.”
Jordan, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, told reporter
Kapur that he's reviewing a letter by Bragg, however, it is unclear whether he
was referring to the letter that was sent by the district attorney's office.
Meanwhile, the House
Judiciary GOP tweeted in response to Bragg's letter on Thursday saying: “Alvin
Bragg should focus on prosecuting actual criminals in New York City rather than
harassing a political opponent in another state. Make Manhattan Safe Again!”
Trump would be the first president to be indicted for a
crime if he is charged over the hush money paid to Daniels, which might weaken
his chances to win in the 2024 presidential election.
My 2 Cents: Let’s face it, this “new” GOP-run House now run by McCarthy with chairs like Jordan, Comer, and a dozen or so out-of-sight members like Taylor Greene, Boebert, Gaetz, Perry, Gohmert, Stefanik, and a few in the Senate like Cruz, Hawley, Ron Johnson, Scott (FL), Rand Paul, and several others keep blaming President Biden and the DEMS, all the while they are the worse of the worst – rabid revenge seeking trouble maker lackeys for Trump – that is as plain as day and the story above is proof and evidence of that.
Thanks for stopping
by.
