HAPPY JULY 4 / 247 YEARS OLD: As Gun Violence Increases Across the Country

The sad numbers we see

Our flag image the world sees

Not a proud statistic

People can be for or be against guns, but consider this: (1) As of 2018 over 390 million American said they owned a gun(s); (2) Others may have said: “I don’t own a gun, but now these days I see so much gun violence even in our schools and public, that I’m forced to get a gun.”  (Or words to that effect. More guns equal more gun violence).

Watch this outstanding ABC NEWS 11-minute video [click link] which provides a lot of data and carefully gathered information:

Highlights from the data show that these 3 things in law can alone reduce gun violence by some 30% - they are:

1. Enforce universal background checks to prevent any felon or violent person from being able to buy a gun.

2. Enforce the “may issue law” … that is to prove why or why not a person should be able to get a “concealed gun permit.”

3. Enforce the violent misdemeanor law to prevent anyone with a history of violence from owning a gun.

And, I would also add these crazy state laws must be repealed:   (1) The so-called “open carry gun laws,” or (2) like in Texas with their “the right carry a gun in public w/o a license, permit, or a background check.”

OPEN CARRY IS TOTAL MADNESS (Wild, Wild West mindset) - is this the country we need to see and be proud of - I don't think so.

My 2 cents: As I’ve stated many times, I support the 2nd Amendment but folks what we see today with the craziness outlined above, that right is a joke based on the number of totally unnecessary gun incidents then add in “open carry, no license, or permit in public anywhere and anytime” and it makes a joke of that gun right.

Then add “some body armor, an AR-15 with many rounds of ammo; and a Glock or other types of handguns and with extra mags” and that adds to up the bigger body count, proven by the data in the video and charts above.

Already in this pre-4th of July holiday we have seen: 10 killed & 32 wounded.

In in Philly 5 & 2; in Fort Worth 3 & 6; and in Baltimore 2 & 28 (half were children in the block party).

Utter madness – no other way to describe it and has to be stopped.

Thanks for …
