Trump Day of Reckoning: Seven Fed Charges; 37 Criminal Counts in Doc Case

Compelling Evidence with His Self-Incrimination

Seven Federal Criminal Charges with 37 Counts

A Federal Grand Jury has indicted Trump. It has been released by the DOJ and reported on here from NBC NEWS – there are 37 felony counts in the seven Federal criminal charges listed in the article with this headline:

“Trump indictment released”

The indictment outlining seven Federal charges against Trump for alleged mishandling of classified documents has been unsealed.

The document released also names Trump aide Walt Nauta, and it outlines criminal charges related to the over 100 classified documents federal agents recovered from Trump's Florida resort in August last year.

Here is short video (2:34 minutes) of S/C Jack Smith unsealing and announcing the Federal charges in the indictment (click the link below):

It accuses Trump of breaking seven different laws: (1) 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information, (2) single counts of false statements and representations, (3) conspiracy to obstruct justice, (4) withholding a document or record, (5) corruptly concealing a document, (6) concealing a document in a federal investigation and (7) a scheme to conceal.

It says the information Trump took with him when he left the White House includes: “(1) information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the U.S. and foreign countries; (2) United States nuclear programs; (3) potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and (4) plans for a possible retaliation in response to a foreign attack.”

The indictment documents mentioned originated with all of the top national security and law enforcement agencies of the U.S. government, including: (1) the CIA; (2) DOD; (3) the NSA; (4) National Geospatial Intelligence Agency; (5) National Reconnaissance Office; (6) the DOE; (7) the State Department; and (8) the Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR).

The indictment also states:On two occasions in 2021, Trump showed classified documents to others.”

In one instance the indictment states: Trump showed a writer, a publisher, and two members of his staff who lacked security clearance a copy of a “plan of attack” that, according to a recording of Trump, he described as “highly confidential.”

In the second instance the indictment states: Trump showed two members of his political action committee (PAC), neither of who had a security clearance, a “classified map related to a military operation.”

Both of those incidents occurred at Trump’s New Jersey golf club, which means the documents would have been transported there from Florida.

The indictment also alleges the documents were stored haphazardly — including on the stage of the Mar-a-Lago ballroom for two months.

The indictment also says the documents were also kept in a bathroom and a shower. On one occasion in December of 2021, Trump aide Walt Nauta entered the storage room where they'd been moved to and found several of the boxes had fallen with their contents spilled on the floor, including one marked “Secret” according to the filing.

This concludes the full story – here are some GOP-related reactions to the indictment from these media links:

=           The Hill: GOP sees conflict of interest in  Trump indictment

The Washington Post: GOP's reaction to Trump indictment highlights how nobody is defending him

CNN: On Trump indictment, Senate GOP leaders silent while top House Republicans vow payback

The Kansas City Star: Sen. Josh Hawley rushes to defend Trump after indictment as Republicans deploy familiar strategy

Rolling Stone: Republicans Rush to Defend Trump

My 2 Cents: Not to sound any alarm bell, or to be hyperbolic, but I hope this “new” Trump owned and operated GOP, based on the above and with their remarks and such, do not resort to another January 6 attempt. It's hard for me to believe that so many can read the indictment and NOT trust our legal justice system.

The Trump case is as strong as any in our history

If he skates free, the next time he would make January 6 and the Civil War look like child’s play.

The results would totally wipe out our country and all we stand for, but then who would take over as some sort of dictator. Why of course Trump acting like his foreign dictator pals show him.

Sounds farfetched, right? No, not really – just watch, listen, and pay close attention, and I don’t mean just to Hannity, et al on FOX news, either. I believe the ugly is yet to come, so buckle up and plan accordingly about how to react or escape.

Best yet, I hope rational people will prevail and simply say: This is our judicial system working as it is supposed to work. Just let it play out as designed and then we can move on back to some sort of normalcy.”

I hope you can agree with me on that, Mr. and Mrs. GOP. Because it is our only hope for the future.

Thanks for stopping by.
