TRUMP 2024 STRATEGY
& GOP PLEDGES:
Trump started his attack almost immediately in his 2024 announcement speech at Mar-a-Lago as he complained about: “Biden and the radical-left lunatics running our government right into the ground.”
More here from Politico re: with this headline:
“House GOP makes clear it's going after Joe Biden via Hunter”
Now that they've taken the House majority (Albeit a very slim one) at last, House Republicans made it explicit that their long-simmering investigation into Hunter Biden investigation is really about his father as stated by the incoming Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY), who's seen as the party's leading player in Hunter Biden oversight (pictured above at news conference) who said: “I want to be clear: This is an investigation of Joe Biden, and that’s where the committee will focus in the next Congress.”
Comer and others haven’t been shy about their efforts being a probe in search of a problem — a hunt for a smoking gun that would provide a still-unproven direct link between Joe Biden’s decisions as vice president or president and his son’s business dealings.
But the public rollout of those plans, one day after Republicans officially won the House in the midterm elections, shows where a GOP facing partisan gridlock will focus much of its attention for the next two years. House Republicans have now kick-started the push by doubling down on document requests to a flurry of agencies and releasing an interim report that skirted around the lack of evidence implicating the president.
Comer said: “Joe Biden misused his public position to benefit his family financially and created the potential that he could be influenced. We’re trying to stay focused on: Was Joe Biden directly involved with Hunter Biden’s business deals and was he compromised?”
Those signs come as the Republicans are prepared to take
control of the House are more focused on investigating conspiracies than they
are about taking a step back, understanding what happened in this
election, which was: The rejection of Trump’s denialism.
The need to be working for an agenda that meets the needs of
the electorate, specifically the agenda of millennials and younger voters who
are more responsible for the results of this election than anyone else.
There's virtually no way for the Republican agenda to find success now that Democrats will remain in control of the Senate — and of course, Biden’s veto pen.
But, the ability to investigate Democratic leaders and pass
bills in one chamber of Congress, the GOP can show voters that they're trying
to achieve their goals, and pin any lack of progress on the left. Even in the
minority, Republicans have been quick to propose performative bills, knowing
they wouldn't have the support necessary to pass.
On the first day of the Biden presidency, and two and a half weeks into her first term, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced articles of impeachment against Biden, alleging he allowed “His son Hunter Biden to influence the domestic policy of a foreign nation and accept benefits from foreign nationals in exchange for favors while he was serving as vice president.” It went nowhere.
More than a dozen
Biden impeachment bills have been introduced since — five by Rep. Greene alone
— also all going nowhere.

My earlier post shows this Trump GOP today: Conspiracy nuts.
My 2 Cents: Based on the 2022 midterm promises made by various Republicans which is continue on the path cited above if they were to win the House majority and now it appears they have.
But, some GOP leaders have recently backed off those ideas.
Continue research on this outrageous GOP goal which is to please Trump no matter who gets run over in in the process, then wait and see.
Thanks
for stopping by.
