GOP Voter Law Changes: Take Steps to Prevent GOP Whackos from Congress

Two biggies: Matt Gaetz & Marjorie Taylor Greene
(Spewing craziness on Steve Bannon's podcast)

There are numerous horrible members in Congress from the GOP side now more so at one time than I have ever seen in my life.

Topping the list right up there with Reps. Taylor Greene; Boebert; Jordan; Gohmert; Biggs; Brooks; Gosar; Perry; Hice; Roy; and, many others who are members of the GOP’s Freedom Caucus and most, if not all, are Trump sycophants is Rep. Matt Gaetz from Florida. This story is about him posted here at the Business Insider with this headline:

Rep. Matt Gaetz says he's proud of the work Republicans did on January 6 and he calls pro-Trump rioters Patriotic Americans

He along with Taylor Greene spoke on Steven Bannon’s podcast saying in part: We're ashamed of nothing. We're proud of the work we did on January 6 to make legitimate arguments about election integrity. So we're going to make those arguments today ... and we're actually going to go walk the grounds that patriotic Americans walked from the White House to the Capitol, who had no intent of breaking the law or doing violence.”

He then said without evidence: Many of the rioters trapped and that those who trapped them have not been held to account.”

Recall that Gaetz, who is under a Federal sex-trafficking investigation, was among Trump's most loyal attack dogs on Capitol Hill and joined most of his House Republican colleagues in objecting to Congress' EC 2020 final vote certification of Joe Biden's victory.

His claim that those who stormed the Capitol on January 6 had “no intent of breaking the law or doing violence is simply untrue.”

Just tourists visiting the Capitol

These steps have been taken by the DOJ according to AG Merrick Garland while investigating January 6:

1. Issued more than 5,000 subpoenas and search warrants;

2. Seized about 2,000 devices;

3. Gone through more than 20,000 hours of video footage;

4. Searched through about 15 Terabytes of data;

5. Received more than 300,000 public tips;

6. Arrested and charged more than 725 defendants across nearly all 50 states and Washington, DC;

7. Charged about 325 defendants with felonies.

My 2 Cents: I hope the Federal charges stick and as a result that Matt Gaetz is prosecuted, tried, convicted, and ends up getting a very long prison term. That should shut him up and get him off the national screen and expelled from Congress.

He is in a word: A horrible, pathetic, pitiful, disgusting, bullish, just awful human being.

Thanks for stopping by.
