Kushner’s Attorney Abbe Lowell: Changed T/S Security Clearance Version Thrice

One Day: Three Different Versions Explained
(Albeit All Three Very Weak Explanations)

The following story update shows that Kushner’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, changed his side of this story three times in one day. That was either honestly on his part, or to cover his own behind, or so it seems.

This story continues and it is a big one as I posted about earlier here and then earlier here, too. That hole keeps getting deeper – best to stop digging Mr. Trump, et al.

Below is the Abbe Lowell piece from The Rachel Maddow Show (MSNBC):
More here, too:

WASHINGTON (The AP via Yahoo News and Market Watch) – In the wake of a bombshell report that President Trump demanded son-in-law Jared Kushner receive a security clearance, an irregular enough occurrence that at least two high-level Trump aides reportedly felt compelled to create contemporaneous memos.

Now,  a congressional committee is giving the White House until Monday to voluntarily turn over documents related to White House security clearances.

The deadline from the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform comes amid questions about the Trump administration’s truthfulness regarding how Kushner, a White House senior adviser, got his high-level security clearance and Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) writes:I am now writing a final time to request your voluntary cooperation with this investigation.”

Note: If the White House doesn’t respond, Cummings could issue subpoenas for documents and interviews.

Career security officials had recommended against granting a clearance to Kushner, the president’s son-in-law. The New York Times reported that Trump ordered officials to grant the clearance, and that former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly documented his concerns in an internal memorandum as did former White House counsel Don McGahn.

My 2 cents: So, where does this end?

Who knows… the GOP generally is sticking firmly with Trump since they fear his base that apparently is no longer their base, or so it seems.

We shall see.

Thanks for stopping by.
