A successful second summit, or another flop
North and South Korea at Midnight
(Who is the most-advanced?)
If this headline is any indicator, then Flop-Two brewing:
“Chilling
Atmosphere: North Korea Blames DEMS and Intelligence Agencies Just Like Trump”
HANOI (Reuters)
- North Korea’s state media criticized Democrats and American intelligence
officials for “…chilling the atmosphere
ahead of Kim Jong-Un & Trump’s
second summit. ”
Specifics:
After weeks
of silence about the summit in Hanoi, Vietnam, NK’s state-run news agency,
KCNA, announced Kim’s departure by train en route to the talks aimed to build
on a commitment to rid the Korean peninsula of nuclear weapons – presumably
reached at their first meeting in Singapore last June (but never put into
action).
KCNA later
issued a commentary arguing that if Trump listened to skeptics at home (e.g.,
the DEMS and his 17 Intelligence Agencies) that he “…could face a shattered dream and miss the rare historic opportunity to
improve relations with North Korea.”
The KCNA commentary was released
under the name Jong Hyon also said: “The Democratic Party
of the U.S. and other opponents to the negotiations move overtly and covertly
to disrupt them as supported by skepticism backed by all sorts of groundless
stories and misinformation even at such a crucial moment as now, and Trump’s
opponents would bear the responsibility if the summit failed to achieve
results, which would leave the U.S. people exposed to security threats.”
NOTEWORTHY: Some parts of the North Korean
statement appear to perfectly echo Trump’s own talking points wherein he always
blames former President Barack Obama for taking the two countries to the brink (and Trump saving us from that), and for
trusting our intelligence agencies (which
NK says is full of lies).
Of course
the NK side is always full of honest angels from above, right?
(Scores of laughter now welcome).
My 2 cents: Knowing North Korea the way I do and
the many times I have dealt with them in the past (I served there from
1979-1992) and earlier as an adviser in HQ ROKMC, I can say with 100% certainty
that this kind of announcement is routine raw North Korean propaganda.
Notice how they blast people not even involved in
process (the DEMS and former President
Obama) and insult our 17 Intelligence Agencies just like Trump does (almost daily).
This is how NK operates: They turn ourselves against
ourselves and in such a pitiful obvious way.
I ask Trump
loyalists: Who does Trump serve and represent? Putin and Russian interests and Kim
and North Korean interests, or our democratic values, our professional
agencies, and the American public?
That question seems murkier with each passing day with
Trump in office, doesn’t it? Yes, it does without any doubt.
“Art of Deal” Trump will profess. Ha – more like his “Art of the Con.”
Trump needs to issue a statement right now and disavow
that from North Korea, and the sooner the better.
But, I bet Trump will not dispute this North Korean stunt.
Thanks for stopping by.
