USSC Chief Justice John Roberts takes Trump to task
for anti-judge comments
Historical moment in Supreme Court
history for sure:
Chief Justice John Roberts takes Trump to task over his “Obama’s judge” label
on Federal judge that ruled against him as noted
here from The AP:
WASHINGTON — Chief Justice John Roberts is
pushing back against President Trump's description of a Federal judge who ruled against Trump's new migrant asylum
policy as an “Obama judge.”
It's the first time that the leader of the federal
judiciary has offered even a hint of criticism of Trump, who has previously
blasted federal judges who ruled against him.
Roberts said
on Wednesday (Thanksgiving eve) that the U.S. doesn't have “Obama judges, or
Trump judges, or Bush judges, or Clinton judges.”
Roberts said that an “independent
judiciary is something we should all be thankful for.”
Also, last
year, Trump also used the term “the so-called judge” after the first Federal ruled
against Trump’s travel ban.
Thanks for stopping
by.
