Same BS, Same Lies, Same Deceit, Ergo: Same DNA Obviously
Q: Are the students who
survived the Florida school shooting really “crisis actors”?
A: No. Conspiracy
theories have been spreading online to undercut students advocating stricter
gun control.
FULL QUESTION: This is
floating around on Facebook: “Is Daniel Hogg a student at the Florida
high school where the recent shootings took place, or are he and others paid
actors?”
FULL ANSWER: No. Students who survived the massacre in their Parkland, FL High School on February 14 are advocating gun control.
Conspiracy theorists are undercutting that message by questioning whether some of the students actually attend the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. They claim the teens are really crisis actors (another BS site) paid by liberal activists and that they are part of a deep state conspiracy involving CNN and the FBI, or that one of the most-outspoken students is actually a 28-year-old man who was arrested in South Carolina who is actually 17-year-old David Hogg a valid, bona fide student.
Conspiracy theories like these often fester in shadowy parts of the internet — on extremist blogs or websites — but these particular rumors got extra exposure when they were highlighted by public figures and amplified on social media with the help of Russian bots (from NPR).
NOTEWORTHY: Facebook users have flagged as potentially false several
variations of stories advancing those claims, and readers have asked us about
them, as well. They are not true.
Related to the same story … and young David Hogg.
My 2 cents: What to do with or about this president? This remains the $64,000
question doesn’t it? All these conspiracy nutcases are killing us as a country now maybe more so than ever in our history with the effectiveness … so, when and how do we come to grips with that that get stopped?
I think the answer is relatively simple: We must shed a very hot spotlight light
of truth on them to flush them out and then flush then down the drain forever.
Related to this is this key question is: What are conspiracy sites and those who post and respond to them trying to achieve by their awful and in many very cases dangerous accusations.
Thanks for stopping by.
