Shithouse Rumor Time (Marine Lingo): Trump Will Fire Mueller Before Christmas

Rumor Control Says: Trump Fires Mueller
(Christmas Present for FOX)

Actual GOP and FOX Rumor Control Center

Could we soon see a Nixon-style “Saturday Night Massacre” redux? According to one prominent Democrat, that is the current scuttlebutt in Washington reported on here from Mediaite.

Speaking to California station KQED Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) said that she is hearing rumors that President Trump will fire S/C Counsel Robert Mueller after Congress leaves for Christmas break (see the video at the link).

Specifically she said: “The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on December 22, when we are out of DC, he is going to fire Robert Mueller.”

She went on to say that if Trump does indeed fire Mueller during the middle of his investigation of Russian election meddling and potential ties between the Trump campaign and Russian officials, etc., that it would create a constitutional crisis and “Without a doubt, there would be an impeachment effort.” (Cite: House Intelligence Committee members).

Besides shutting down Mueller, Speier also believes Trump wants to end the Congressional committee probes into Russia noting that the House Intelligence Committee is rushing through interviews this month and has none scheduled for January 2018, then she concluded: “We can read between the lines.”

Also, that committee’s Ranking Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), expressed a similar thought recently in a tweet.

Source of the anti-Mueller attacks in In recent weeks have been more of less run out of FOX News with Sean Hannity who has called Mueller a “disgrace to the American justice system” then Gregg Jarrett claimed Mueller was using the FBI as a political weapon while invoking the KGB.

As for me: I hope that Trump takes that step to fire Mueller … I would predict two things: (1) en masse resignation at the FBI and elsewhere, and (2) GOPers would turn on Trump and start drawing up Articles of Impeachment (Richard M. Nixon redux) and rightly so.

I may be wrong … but do Republicans stand for the things they say they say they do in their speeches or with this corrupt, arrogant, bully-like, probably mentally unstable man now serving as our president … an easy question for real patriots. We shall see.

I’m preparing for the holidays and will take a break to go and spend it with my two kids in Buffalo. May some short posts, but not likely.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU CELEBRATE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR AND MOST OF ALL, THANKS FOR STOPPING BY.
