Trump is Anti-NATO and Anti-EU: Now They React to His Threats and Bullying

Trump directs Congress with his message for the world
(Abandon closest allies and friends: We are #1)

Prime target of Trump: NATO

Another Trump target: the EU

From CNN startling news – and not pretty one bit. So, thanks Mr. Trump and your “Art of the Deal” um? Actually, more like “Art of Distrust.”

PARIS (CNN) – French President Emmanuel Macron told France's overseas ambassadors gathered in Paris on Monday that Europe can “No longer rely upon the U.S. for its security. It is up to us today to take our responsibilities and guarantee our own security, and thus have European sovereignty,” then he added: “I want us to launch an exhaustive review of our security with all Europe's partners, which includes Russia.”

(I note: Someone in Europe is delighted, um? Putin, and then “The Donald)

Macron then said he wanted to see a complete rethink of how Europe defends itself in the future.

My 2 cents: Why this strong statement from our friends and allies in Europe and yes, even the ancestral homeland of almost all Americans?

Well, for starters, since his election, Trump has been distancing himself from both NATO and the EU challenging the strong post-World War II consensus on peace and security in Europe presidents long before Trump forged with strong ties and partnerships.

Now, the “expert and best businessman in the world” wants to tear that to shreds and for what reason – to get a lot of Trump Empire, Inc. building permits in each European capital?

This is a dark chapter in world and American history – it is a step back in time, but a step back to where – seems to be off a proverbial cliff. And Europe will count on Russia – for its defense? Wow – let’s hope that Macron, et al don’t mean it that way to reply on Russia for Europe’s security.

What Macron should have said is: “We can’t rely on the U.S. while Trump is in office.”

Thanks for stopping by.
