Watergate Redux — Call it Trumpgate: Comey Fired, Sessions Fired, Mueller Next

Trump makes threat: Sessions in shock
(A year or so ago)

(November 7, 2018)

A looming crisis on the horizon now that Jeff Sessions has resigned as AG and in fact, left DC – a few details below and drawn from here and from other news sources when this very big news broke:
If the new Acting AG about to take Sessions place until he is confirmed by the GOP senate sticks by his own words and Trump's desire, then he will fire Rod Rosenstein and in effect move to shut down S/C Robert Mueller and then the country will be in full-blown constitutional crisis mode.
Trump forced Sessions out, and thus that clears the way for a man who has publicly accused Robert Mueller of taking the Russia investigation “too far” (now to be Interim AG Matthew Whitaker – and thus would become Rosenstein’s boss) to do the nasty deed. Whitaker also has mused that as AG he could thwart Mueller's probe by denying funding.
The public must react and without hesitation if that happens – which seems very likely behind one principle in America that stands above all else and even for Trump ass-kissing loyalists:
NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.
What has Mueller achieved? Since his appointment by Dep. AG Rod Rosenstein (May 2017 after Sessions recused himself driving Trump into this sustained frenzy) Mueller and his team have (from Slate):

1.  Charged 32 individuals and three entities with nearly 200 federal criminal offenses.

2.  He has secured guilty pleas from six offenders

3.  Three already received prison sentences.

Specifically – these felons are high-level Trump officials among the guilty who had a leading role in the Trump’s campaign, or held senior positions in the Trump White House:

1.  Michael Flynn (Trump’s former NSC adviser).

2.  Paul Manafort (former chairman of Trump’s presidential campaign).

3.  Rick Gates (deputy chairman of Trump’s presidential campaign and inaugural committee).

4.  George Papadopoulos (one of Trump’s campaign foreign policy advisers).

Two of the indictments (accuse some two dozen) Russian nationals and officials of unlawful election interference, including hacking into Hillary Clinton campaign’s email system, then coordinating with entities (thought to be WikiLeaks and Guccifer 2.0) to leak and spread around those illegally obtained emails.

Recently, emails between Roger Stone and former Trump campaign chief executive Steve Bannon have been released that could provide a missing piece of the puzzle connecting those Russian hackers and Trump officials.

Mueller can also take credit for additional spin off criminal charges like these:

1.  Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal longtime attorney who have already pleaded guilty to several federal offenses, implicated Trump in two campaign finance violations related to hush money paid just before the 2016 election to adult film star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal.

2.  Allen Weisselberg, Trump Organization CFO who was recently granted immunity by federal prosecutors. With this witness cooperating, they should be able to follow the money.

My 2 cents: So, get ready because Donald J. Trump is more relentless in his attempts to undermine and shut down the Mueller investigation as shown in discussed items above re: AG Jeff Sessions firing.

This is quickly becoming Watergate II, but ten times over. Wait and see.

Stay tuned and thanks for stopping by.
