Pop Quiz: How Much More of Trump Can Our Country Tolerate - Zero Sounds Good

More downright false bragging on his part
(Now Aviation Safety Guru)

The New Year barely has rung in and bingo: Trump is again very active on Twitter and even at one point, he decided to take credit for ensuring global air traffic’s safest year ever.

Oops… his tweet – noteworthy: This man has zero dignity or finesse, is uncouth, and lacks even a lick of common sense or decency – shame on us.

Donald J. Trump (@ realDonaldTrump

“Since taking office I have been very strict on Commercial Aviation. Good news - it was just reported that there were Zero deaths in 2017, the best and safest year on record!”

Oops: Facts, Mr. Trump, facts not your self-kudo slapping fluffing – okay – like. The Aviation Safety Network recently released a report noting that there were no reported deaths on any commercial flights anywhere around the world last year. It is also more worth noting, that there hasn’t been a single fatal commercial airline crash in the United States since early 2009.

His false bragging continues – trail littered with garbage, a few follow below:

TRUMP: “We've saved taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars by bringing down the price of the F-35 jet fighter.”

THE FACTS: The cost savings he persists in bragging about were secured in full or large part before he became president.

Two Award winners – some not listed may even be better:

TRUMP: “Since my election, Ford, Fiat-Chrysler, General Motors, Sprint, Softbank, Lockheed, Intel, Walmart and many others have announced that they will invest billions of dollars in the United States and will create tens of thousands of new American jobs.

THE FACTS: Trump is taking credit for corporate jobs decisions that largely predate his election. In the case of Intel, construction of the Chandler, Arizona, factory referred to by Trump actually began during Barack Obama's presidency.

TRUMP: “According to data provided by the DOJ the vast majority of individuals convicted for terrorism-related offenses since 9/11 came here from outside of our country. We have seen the attacks at home — from Boston to San Bernardino to the Pentagon and yes, even the World Trade Center.”

THE FACTS: It's unclear what DOJ he is cites, but the most recent government information that has come out doesn't back up his claim. Just over half the people Trump talks about were actually born in the United States, according to DHS research.

That report said of 82 people the government determined were inspired by a foreign terrorist group to attempt or carry out an attack in the U.S., just over half were native-born citizens. One key attack Trump singles out wasn’t entirely the work of foreigners, re: Syed Rizwan Farook (along with his Pakistani-born wife) killed 14 people in the deadly 2015 attack in San Bernardino. Farook himself was born in Chicago.

What a total disgrace to the country, to himself, and well the entire planet … as I said, shame on us.

Sadly, it ain’t over yet. Pitiful man.
