Immigration According to Trump: English-Speaking Only With Special Skills Welcome

Trump Empire Inc. Now Hiring: Heed the Sign
(Ah, the good old days)

Halt!!! Proof of English and Job Skills Only, Capisce

Link to this post’s story from here with this headline:

Background: The latest T-rump movie production will be labeled: “Only immigrants who speak English and have special skills are hereafter welcome…”

FYI: A report in early 2009 by the DHS Office of Immigration Statistics estimated the number of “unauthorized immigrants” in the United States at 10.7 million. That was down from 11.6 million in 2008.

The recent decline in immigration coincided with the economic downturn in the U.S., but figures were still up from 2000, when illegal immigrants numbered some 8.5 million.

More here too (from the history channel) >>>

Since the 1960’s, our immigration system has largely based entry on family ties, giving preference to those with relatives who are citizens. But now Trump once again proposes moving away from that policy, and instead is focusing instead on an immigration system that would prioritize high-skilled immigrants only who speak English already before being admitted.

My advice to Mr. T-rump is simple: Read and commit to memory the excellent article linked above.

Note there is a list of 12 immigrants (and probably hundreds or more) who came to America with practically nothing and little or no English skills. They all realized and wanted the “American Dream.”

Probably Drumpf ancestors, too, I suspect!!!

Now, those highlighted 12 have more than enough money and acclaim to show for their efforts. That's the American way — what we all strive for.

Well, maybe for most but will be harder to achieve under this President. A damn shame, too.

Still, thanks for stopping by.
