Rep. Jason
Chaffetz (R-UT): Big Mouth. “Yeah, so…”
Chaffetz on Embassy Funding
(Which Included Benghazi)
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT)
headhunter for Hillary Clinton on a lot of issues is back and says he is not
done with her yet. So, she is a criminal in his eyes? But, what crimes did Hillary Clinton commit, Mr.
Chaffetz?
Background on this post is
from this short clip with Chaffetz on FOX with that aspect. Of course, on
FOX – the place where assholes like him go to get attention and spread BS (again).
But, if you want a real honest-to-goodness
criminal, then look no further than to disgraced former Army General
David Petraeus (who was CIA chief). He pleaded guilty to overtly giving
highly-classified documents to his adulterous lover, Paul Broadwell, the woman
who was writing his bio. He knew it was wrong and pleaded guilty and was fined
$100,000.00, and he is still on a 2-year probation until sometime in 2017.
What he did is miles beyond
that which the GOP wants to nail Hillary on about her private email server and
all that regardless of the fact that she has been cleared twice by the FBI –
there was no CRIMINAL INTEND or CRIMINAL ACTIVITY.
Updated Info from here (Politico):
Trump said Hillary Clinton’s
use of a private server for classified State Department emails made her unfit
for high office and he said if elected he would appoint a special prosecutor to
“lock her up.” He backed down after the election, but that may come back with
Chaffetz’s help?
All that, however, is not stopping
Trump from considering Petraeus for secretary of state. Trump’s hour-long
meeting Monday with Petraeus, a retired general and former CIA director, to
discuss the Cabinet position is the latest in the president-elect’s outreach to
retired military leaders who have clashed with President Barack Obama on
foreign policy and national security.
But it also calls into
question the sincerity of Trump’s stance on the importance of safeguarding the
nation’s secrets, according to former government officials and intelligence
experts — a stance that was driven home with campaign trail chants of “Lock her
up.”
Then this update: How will Chaffetz react
to this request? Democrats now have made their strongest call to date for
a congressional investigation into President-elect Donald Trump’s business
entanglements and possible conflicts of interest, asking the GOP’s top House
investigator to launch a formal probe.
Seventeen Democratic members of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee called on the panel’s chairman, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) to “begin reviewing [Trump’s] financial arrangements in order to identify and protect against conflicts of interest.”
The demand, in a seven-page letter, comes two weeks after the
committee’s ranking Democrat, Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD), made a similar
request to Chaffetz.
Cummings letter said in part: “You have the authority to launch a committee investigation, and we are calling on you to use that power now. You acted with unprecedented urgency to hold ‘emergency’ hearings and issue multiple unilateral subpoenas to investigate Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton before the election. We ask that you show the same sense of urgency now.”
Natch, that request,
according to the Democrats, did not receive a reply.
A spokeswoman for Chaffetz
did not return a request for comment, either.
Now the proverbial icing on
the proverbial cake: Chaffetz hammers Hillary over her private email account but
guess what – oh, never mind, here look at this this official House business card:
Also, regarding the GOP's Embassy
security budget cuts – well, he said he was proud to have voted “No.” Reference
to that is here.
Chaffetz’s middle initial surely
must be “H” for hypocrite. What does it all mean, probably not much with the
GOP hardcore side … don’t confuse their one-sided, narrow-minded views with fact.
Lessons learned, but not by them.
Welcome
to the new and sustained GOP majority of hypocrites about ready to gain it all.
Why should anyone be surprised or worried, right?
Thanks for stopping by.
