Saudis Pissed at United States About Iran Inaction

John Kerry To Meet Saudis to "Fix" Relations

Maybe the Saudis Will Claim Their 15 of 19
9-11 Hijackers

The story in part from NBC News:

RIYADHSaudi Arabia — The historic 15-minute phone call between President Barack Obama and Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani may have cost the U.S. one of its key friends in the Middle East

The U.S. and Saudi Arabia have been allies for some 80 years, with the U.S. offering military protection to the world’s second-biggest oil producer.

But as relations warm between Tehran and WashingtonSaudi Arabia last month signaled that it will “shift away from the U.S.,” giving Secretary of State John Kerry plenty to discuss with King Abdullah when they meet (this man's record and past are questionable in my view).

Riyadh is deeply skeptical of Iran's charm offensive and frustrated by an alleged lack of consultation over Washington's changing stance toward a country once branded as a member of the so-called “Axis of Evil” (George Bush coined this phrase after 9-11).

Only a few years ago, the Saudis urged the U.S. to strike Iran — which is situated just across the Persian Gulf from the kingdom.

My points: What sick and stuffy Saudi arrogance towards us ... If they are so indignant, which I see as pretty misplaced, and with all the U.S. military aid we sell them, why don't they “hit” Iran themselves, huh? What cat got their tongue??? And, lest we forget, 15 of the 9-11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. Do they need to be reminded about that little fact - hell they probably don't even care. Arrogant asses that I perceive them to be. Friends don't treat friends this way, but after 80 years of defending them, maybe they are feeling their oats and want to strike a strong military pose and intimidate us. I say, have at it.

Oh, how silly of me to forget it must be about their oil and our security. A trivial point, I guess. Never mind.
