"Torture Policy Principals: We need to know..."

Left to Right: Cheney, Ashcroft, Powell, Tenent, and Rice (not pictured yet involved in the torture mess are: Addington, Wolfowitz, Gonzales, Feith and Yoo, who wrote the torture policy memos).

In dozens of top-secret talks and meetings in the White House, the most senior Bush administration officials discussed [pictured above] and approved specific details of how high-value al-Qaeda suspects would be interrogated by the Central Intelligence Agency. [Source: ABC News]

These advisers were members of the National Security Council's Principals Committee, a select group of senior officials who met frequently to advise President Bush on issues of national security policy. You can paint a zebra all white or all black, but eventually its real colors will fade back in. These people should be charged, prosecuted, tried, and hopefully found guilty of war crimes and punished accordingly, mostly by their own admission of law breaking. Sad for America and worse: If they get away with it.

The White House as expected, declined comment. Reports say these five "insulated President Bush" insulated him from what - legal meeting and legal stuff or not-so-legal stuff?
